qjackctl and qtractor are both great applications, however, one really important feature in a DAW designed to work with jack is the ability to connect other jack clients to insert points within the audio channels on the mixer. Ardour does this and I don't think qtractor does (I confess I don't have the latest version). But it would be great if it could, then it would be possible to connect jack based plugins / jack clients into the mixer channels rather than just being able to connect jack clients to the output of qtractor. I've developed a set of jack plugins that work well in this way, it would be great to be able to use them in qtractor as well / instead of just LADSPA ones.
