No us428control updates?

Hello Rui,
I know this isn't your main project but I've found this interesting patch:
http://www.spinics.net/lists/alsa-devel/msg09473.html

Since you worked with us428control code do you think you could add this for a new version? Al least a 'personal' version in your web site, not neccessary in the alsa cvs if you don't have the time to do.
Thanks.

Ah, do you know what happen to us428control -verbose mode?
'us428control -v' from a shell seems not working. Also with '-v 1' or '-v 2'.

I don't know if it's a Qtractor bug but the pan of the us428 doesn't work, in Qtractor-mixer a volume slider of a track is movin'!
Then there's another problem: the volume controls of the Tascam, when not assigned to a track, are moving the Qtractor-mixer-slider of the last track created. For example:
if I have 3 tracks, I can control tracks in Qtractor-mixer from 1st, 2nd, 3rd Tascam-sliders BUT I can control the 3rd track also with 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th Tascam-sliders. If I have 4 tracks, I can control the last with 4,5,6,7,8 Tascam-sliders.

Cheers.

- Thanks for the heads-up! I've just applied the patch but haven't tested its effect. Please take your chance and grab these just for the testing:

To be sincere, the old us428control, officially tagged as version 0.4.6, works for me and my US-224 : So why fix what isn't broken?

BTW, the slider vs. track issues you report seem to be related to the different modes of operation, depending you are in control of a US-224 or a US-428 device, setup from the us428control command line (-m us224|us428). I do have this setting from the corresponding udev rule, so it gets it right when the proper US-x2y device is plugged in.

Check it out.
