How to use Master in (MIDI) plugins

I would like to transpose all MIDI input notes for all tracks. To do so I added 'Midi Chromatic Transpose' plugin by Robin Gareus to 'Master In (MIDI)' within Mixer view but whatever transpose level I set: Notes are played without transpose.
To cross check I moved same plugin to plugin-area of a track and set track to different MIDI channels and it works fine there.
Is this a misunderstanding on my side or a bug in qtractor?

it's a feature ;)
MIDI that goes in (any) plugin chain, stays there; it doesn't come out (of there); be that an input, output bus or a track strip; unless you insert an MIDI insert or aux-send in between...
iow. the transposed notes are only seen by the plugins that follow up in the chain.
