MIDI Matrix Editor - Velocity Playback Levels

Hello everybody - I'm a very new user of Ubuntu Studio 12.04 and newer again to Qtractor 0.5.4; I'm in the process of leaving the land of Windows as a priority. After days of scouring various forums on this particular MIDI question - to no avail, I have mustered up the courage to ask some people who are in the know this question... In the MIDI matrix editor whilst creating different note velocity values under the Note Velocity Value Type, shouldn't I hear changes in volume for each note when playing back? For instance as a test I created velocity values ranging from 11 to 119 with a WhySynth 20090403 plugin (as an example) and when they play back they have all the same volume every which way I create them. I apologise in advance if I haven't provided enough information. I am eager to sort this minor obstacle out because I am very happy with this software.

Thank you.

velocity levels are surely dependent on the target synth implementation and/or probable subject to configuration settings (eg. velocity sensitivity).

maybe whysynth is configured to fixed or full level velocity, or its sensitivity is either non existant or set too high, rendering notes with almost or always the same output level. you'll have to check it out. or try with something else (eg. synthv1, which i'm sure has a pretty straight velocity curve by default;)).

What you suspected was correct - this has now been resolved. Thank you.
