The Hottest Pick
This might be old news for some, but my pet project, Qtractor, has been awarded the Hottest Pick as seen on the Linux Format UK's best-selling Linux magazine, as of January 2008 issue (LXF101). It was just today that I've grabbed (bought) one copy from my usual news-stand and after a while browsing over to the LXF Hot Picks section (p.70), I've found it to my astonishing pleasure.
The reviewed pre-released version is quite old though. Yes, The Eleventh Tower (qtractor 0.0.7.752) was released a couple of months ago and it's already aged, but that didn't stop the LXF fellows to pick it up and try it as it was back then. The reviewers were quite impartial, I must say, in fact they couldn't be more, as I wasn't found nor lost in the review process. How could I?
Thanks LXF, as thought I needed another reason to buy your excellent magazine every inclusive month ;)

Muitíssimo obrigado pelo artigo. Teres encontrado o meu nome demonstra já que te interessaste minimamente pelo Qtractor, pois o artigo da LinuxFormat não faz referência alguma ao ainda único autor (eu) e sim a uma tal equipa de desenvolvimento, o que alíás faria todo o sentido em existir, talvez formar e, falando por mim, acarinhar ;) Mesmo assim, tenho contado com alguma euforia, vinda de quem aparece por estas bandas, eheh. Como ando a fazer isto no meu tempo livre, em português acho que se diz hobby (!), raramente tenho discernimento para congregar o quer que seja. Bah.
Olha, acabo de verificar que um (meu) artigo sobre esta mesma peça acaba de sair na última edição da Revista Linux, por ocasião do CNSL07. Assim, sempre podes dar uma oftálmica na nossa língua mátria. Aproveita! ;)

Tive vai não vai para ler o artigo, ele parecia-me interessante mas a aplicação em si não me diz muito porque não sou da área, mas algo me dizia para ver o raio do artigo. Comecei a trabalhá-lo e foi aí que vi o teu nome no site. É sempre interessante ver um nome portugues metido no meio de tanta gente famosa, é algo para ser comemorado!
Tenho de ver a revista do Linux para apreciar esse artigo que falas.
