What I tried to say is that clicking the panic button should also send CC hold pedal with a value of 0.
All notes off is not enough for some instrument plugins.
Not yet perfect. The Linuxsampler plugin in a track doesn't get it.
aseqdump shows CC 64 from MIDI Master but not from a MIDI insert send in the track. The insert send sends only CC 7 and 10.
So in the plugin chain
CC 64
CC 120
CC 121
CC 123
are missing. Is it possible to feed them into the plugin chain, too? I think CC 64 has to be sent last.
nope. sorry, the 'panic' sequence applies only to stopping playback and of course to 'panic' button itself.
anyway, the "reset all controllers at playback start" option refers only to MIDI controllers that are either user- or internally hard-assigned (eg. MIDI tracks and buses volume and pan sliders).
129:1 System exclusive F0 7F 7F 04 01 7F 7F F7
129:1 System exclusive F0 7F 7F 04 02 00 40 F7
129:1 Control change 0, controller 7, value 127
129:1 Control change 0, controller 10, value 64
Master when clicked "stop":
129:1 Control change 1, controller 120, value 0
129:1 Control change 1, controller 123, value 0
129:1 Control change 1, controller 64, value 0
129:1 Control change 0, controller 120, value 0
129:1 Control change 0, controller 123, value 0
129:1 Control change 0, controller 64, value 0
That's ok so far although I don't know where the MIDI Channel 2 comes from. I have only one MIDI track with MIDI Channel 1 (displayed in aseqdump as 0)
Track's Insert Send when clicked "start":
129:0 Control change 0, controller 7, value 127
129:0 Control change 0, controller 10, value 64
Track's Insert Send when clicked "stop":
nothing
So the panic sequence doesn't apply to the plugin chain when clicked "stop". It would be cool if it did.
re. Hold pedal in panic button...
you may assign any MIDI Controller to Transport/Panic: see main Help>Shortcuts...

ok
done in qtractor >= v1.6.1.16git.a56848
enjoy

re. Hold pedal in panic button... [also to plugin chains]
and now this qtractor >= v1.6.1.17git.c61abf ?
please test thoroughly: as always this might have introduced brand new or even raise some old hidden bugs ;)

re. Hold pedal in panic button... [also to plugin chains]
Works great. Didn't notice any unwanted side effects. Thanks Rui.
And maybe at Transport->Start?
When I start playback then CC 7 and 10 are sent to the plugin chain when "Reset all controllers at playback start" is checked.
I think it would be a good idea to include 120, 123, 121 and 64 there as well.
What do you think?

re. panic sequence on stop...
nope, sorry again, the so called 'panic sequence on stop' is mainly for external/outboard equipment only.
and imo it should stay that way, for the time being.
cheers
