Just following my instincts to run a test (after refreshing my backups).
Steps:
Open a .qtr where the directory element contains an absolute path in the form of /path/to/session.
Verify the above-mentioned path exists in File/Properties/Session/Directory
Change the above value to session. (Manually typing the string as I don't know what to expect going with the directory chooser).
Save and exit Qtractor.
Expectation(s):
The directory element in the .qtr file should be updated to reflect the relative directory.
The session should successfully load after starting Qtractor and loading the .qtr file.
Making no changes to the session, closing/exiting Qtractor should not update or modify the .qtr file.
Results:
Odd. After completing step 3 and attempting to save the session, I'm prompted with what looks like a Save As dialog where Look In is populated with the absolute path pointing to the session directory and I'm being asked to save the session file name (in the mentioned session directory.
This is unexpected and confusing? For the time being, I'm going to undo my changes to the .qtr file and just back away slowly :D
