Plugins greyed out on latest version

Hi,
When I install version 0.6.2, all of the plugins are greyed out for a midi track and I get this message in the message box:
VST_PATH not set, defaulting to /home/tester/vst:/usr/local/lib/vst:/usr/lib/vst
RemoteVSTClient: all cache files are up-to-date, not running scanner

error: failed to expand CURIE `foaf:name'
error: attempt to add quad with NULL field

I can access the plugins in 0.6.1, but still get this 'CURIE' error. I'm using AVLinux 6.0.3.

Thanks

hi,

there's two unrelated messages up there.

1. the VST_PATH one relates to dssi-vst and windows/wine VST plugins(.dll) support while under DSSI realm.
2. the later ones are, most probably, related to some weird LV2 plugin mishap... not an immediate problem, just some hint there's one ;)

all in all, both are not quite qtractor bugs per se. but,... there might just be some build configuration issues from avlinux packaging up there :S information given is not enough either. either way, there's no reason v0.6.1 and v0.6.2 giving you disparate results on those lines.

otoh. are you sure you're not trying to insert a midi instrument plugin on an audio track? that would be the reason to get them all grayed out. or, perhaps, you're trying to insert a plugin on an undefined/untyped track yet--you'll have to make either audio or midi first, before asking for anything else ;)

hth.
cheers

Thanks for the reply.
I'm sure I made it a MIDI track. I create the track, click MIDI, go to add plugins. Not sure why it's doing that. When I get back to my computer, I'll try again.

Thank you.
