Vee One Suite 0.9.12 - The QStuff* Winter'19 Release batch #2

Greetings, a second time!

The Vee One Suite of old-school software instruments, synthv1, as a polyphonic subtractive synthesizer, samplv1, a polyphonic sampler synthesizer, drumkv1 as yet another drum-kit sampler and padthv1 as a polyphonic additive synthesizer, are all here and now released, making it for the second QStuff* Winter'19 batch of the season.

All delivered in dual form:

  • a pure stand-alone JACK client with JACK-session, NSM (Non Session management) and both JACK MIDI and ALSA MIDI input support;
  • a LV2 instrument plug-in.

Changes for this special season are pretty much the same for all the gang-of-four:

  • Custom color (palette) theme editor introduced; color (palette) theme changes are now effective immediately, except on default.
  • Second attempt to fix the yet non-official though CMake build configuration.
  • Move QApplication construction/destruction from LV2 UI to plug-in instantiation and cleanup.

The Vee One Suite are free, open-source Linux Audio software, distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL) version 2 or later.

The QStuff* Winter'19 Release batch #1

Greetings!

The old core of QStuff*, QjackCtl, Qsynth, Qsampler, QXGEdit, QmidiCtl and QmidiNet, are all here and now bumped to version 0.6.1, making it the first batch for the last (northern) winter solistice of the decade.

Qtractor in the Top 10

PianoNadu is way too kind to list yours truly Qtractor as one of the Top 10 DAW Software of 2019, no matter how many times I say Qtractor is not a DAW but just a sequencer with, yes, some amenable DAW features ;)

Qtractor 0.9.11 - The Mauerfall'30 Release

Hallo!

Not making history or a revolution but as peaceful as thirty years ago ;)

Qtractor 0.9.11 (mauerfall'30) is out!

And the change-log goes as follows:

  • MIDI Instrument and patch, bank and program names are now correctly updated on their respective track-list (left pane) columns.
  • Avoid copying/replicating dirty MIDI clip files, for yet untitled/scratch sessions.
  • Transport/Backward commands now honoring edit-tail, loop-end and punch-out points, when playback is not rolling.
  • A session name (sub-)directory is now suggested on every new session properties dialog.
  • Avoid adding any extraneous clip replica when Ctrl+dragging on either of its edges.
  • When using autotools and ./configure --with-qt=..., it is also necessary to adjust the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable (after a merge request by plcl aka. Pedro López-Cabanillas, while on qmidinet, thanks).
  • Fixing a potential crash-effect in switching MIDI output buses on tracks that are set to show audio output monitoring meters, is on going still.

Vee One Suite 0.9.11 - A Halloween'19 Release

Horror!

The Vee One Suite of old-school software instruments, synthv1, as a polyphonic subtractive synthesizer, samplv1, a polyphonic sampler synthesizer, drumkv1 as yet another drum-kit sampler and padthv1 as a polyphonic additive synthesizer, are here and now released for the global Halloween evening, and all making up to this mythical version 0.9.11 ;)

As always, all provided in dual form:

  • a pure stand-alone JACK client with JACK-session, NSM (Non Session management) and both JACK MIDI and ALSA MIDI input support;
  • a LV2 instrument plug-in.

Changes for this creepy release are quite revolutionary;)

  • When using autotools and ./configure --with-qt=..., it is also necessary to adjust the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable (after a merge request by plcl aka. Pedro López-Cabanillas, while on qmidinet, thanks).
  • Upstream packaging is now split to JACK standalone and LV2 plugin only: the former shared common core and UI package is now duplicated but statically linked though.

The Vee One Suite are free, open-source Linux Audio software, distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL) version 2 or later.
