Hello everybody,
I'm having an issue using my EWI controller (AKAI EWI Solo) with Qsynth. When I play and hold a note, the volume is extremely quiet. But as soon as I change to a different note, the sound suddenly becomes much louder.
After some searching, I found that the problem is related to how Breath Control (CC2) is interpreted. When using Fluidsynth directly from the command line, the following command completely solves the issue:
setbreathmode 0 1 1 1
With this setting, the EWI responds correctly and the volume stays consistent between notes.
My question is:
Is there a way to apply the same setbreathmode configuration in Qsynth?
Either through the Qsynth UI or by editing a configuration file?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Regards
Giuliano
re. Send fluidsynth commands (needed for breath mode)...
sorry, answer is no, there's no current way for just that on qsynth.
qsynth does not provide a shell interface as fluidsynth CLI does, where you seem to be issuing the said command (setbreathmode) or any other like it, sorry again.
