Since I use a realtime kernel on my old machines (and preempt=full on a newer kernel) I have no more that nasty modulo-8 channel hopping with my MOTU Ultralite AVB, so I'll keep it.

Some strangenesses like audio clips played at the wrong time occured with a low latency kernel, too.
