Scarlett 2i2 shows up in jack but not in Reaper, or in ARDOUR. No recording at all.

I am running Operating System: Fedora 32
KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.70.0
Qt Version: 5.14.2
Kernel Version: 5.8.10-200.fc32.x86_64
OS Type: 64-bit
Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-4300U CPU @ 1.90GHz
Memory: 3.5 GiB of RAM
Any advice will be appreciated?
Thanks

if it shows in jack alright why do you ask it here?
why not tell reaper or ardour to talk to jack instead? ;)

It seems that my qjackctl install on Fedora Jam 32, cleaned updated, and running correctly in every respect except jack.

if you don't have jack running correctly, then i'm sure you cannot put qjackctl to any meaningful use, ever :(

you're better of fixing just that, possibly taking it to the Fedora Jam community forums first, i guess
cheers
