An old-school drum-kit sampler
If there were an option to link the start and end points, we could set a duration.
This would allow for easy navigation through samples that contain multiple samples (loops, recording snippets, multi-instrument samples) in the same file.
It would serve a similar function to split-based samplers.
Hi, I really like drumkv1, but I have absolutely no idea how to create my own drum kit with it. There are no tutorials, except for one on YouTube where I have to use some scripts. Isn't it possible to create my own kit directly with drumkv1 after loading my own samples?
Hi Rui, I'm back again after a while. :)
I wanted to mention a couple of things:
1. I've solved the problem of dragging and dropping files from Samplv1.lv2 and Drumkv1.lv2 by editing the .ttl file corresponding to the UI and leaving only the lv2#ui_external version.
It seems to work well in Qtractor, Ardour, and Muse. I'm sharing this trick in case it's useful to someone else. (Enabling the option to select different UIs in Qtractor was cumbersome.)
I set BPM to the smalles value and Rate to 0 to simulate a static value.
It looks as if it's restarted with each note on, so I get always the high value.
Then I use the LFO envelope's Pitch to move the tuning up and slowly back to the original value.
Is this the recommended way?
What is the Sweep parameter for?
What do they do exactly? I cannot find controls like threshold, ratio, attack and release.
Is the limiter just a volume normalizer? What settings does the compressor use?

Don't worry, in the not-too-distant future, you'll finally find drum kits for Drumk1 online. They're also under a public domain license.
You'll create them yourself.

The following feature would allow for much more fluid kit customization.
It would allow:

Being able to listen to sample previews in folders without having to use an external player.

Customize kits in a fast and intuitive way.
Functionality:
If you press [Control] on an already loaded sample in the sample list and roll the mouse wheel, the next/previous sample in the folder is loaded and can be listened to by activating the MIDI controller.
I wanted to experiment with Drumkv1 to use it as a percussion synthesizer.
Not just as a percussion sampler, but as a synthesizer.
I generated a "bang" with Audacity, compressed it as an .ogg file, and got a starting sample of only 8 kB. From there, I created a complete drum kit.
By the way, Drumkv1 doesn't include the ".ogg" extension, only ".oga." That's something that should be added.
I think the result is fun and usable.
It doesn't allow you to type in the .drumkv1 preset box.
It does allow you to paste text (this is how I manage to edit).
If you open a preset from your computer, close the interface, and open it again, the box appears empty again.
This is inconvenient: since if you modify the preset you cannot save the changes, and
if you select the preset from the list of previously loaded presets, you will lose the changes.
I assume the bug affects the rest of the Vee One Suite family, but I haven't tested it.

i installed the ubuntu studio plugins and drumkv1 seems comes with this package. Unfortunately it doesn't work.
