Hi,
I am enjoying Qtractor immensely.
I am struggling to understand how to navigate around a recorded file. The time display of the audio file works as expected. What I would like to do is to advance quickly through the audio file locations.
Are there keyboard commands to advance to say two minutes within the recorded file, or rewind say 45 seconds within the recorded file?
Thanks,
SHD
re. File Clock Display...
there's no such commands, sorry... besides changing the numbers (hours:minutes:seconds) of the time display itself.
options are you may work with the edit-head and edit-tail movable blue-markers or set fixed markers on the timeline (see View > Tempo Map / Markers... or double-click on the time-ruler header);
then, Transport > Backward [|<] and Forward [>|] will stop at the previous and next markers, or the start and end-of-timeline resp. whichever comes last in either direction.
hth.
cheers

OK, this seems feasible to me. I will work to learn the GUI as intended by the design.

Precise Fast Forward and Rewind
In the “Time” toolbar, left-click on the seconds. Now scroll the mouse wheel. This also works with milliseconds, minutes, and hours.
Setting the clock to BBT compass units and applying the trick can also be helpful.
It's not exactly what you're asking for, but it's very functional for that task.
