In Qtractor the LSP limiter (stereo and mono) gives different results depending on its format:
LV2: always correct
VST3: always 5 ms regardless of the lookahead time
CLAP: always 0 ms regardless of the lookahead time
I tested the VST3 in Ardour and the latency determination was correct, so it may be a Qtractor bug.
I couldn't test CLAP in Ardour so I can't say if it's a LSP or a Qtractor bug.
There are more irregularities with LSP
For example, Samplers don't receive MIDI in CLAP.
In LV2, if you resize the windows from the corners, they start moving and freeze the computer, at least in XFCE.
here, too
I can close them in xfce4 with alt-f4 while they are resizing forever.
This resize-issue doesn't happen when they are loaded in an non-mixer-xt strip. Seems to be a Qtractor issue.
re. There are more irregularities with LSP...
something has changed in this regard on recent/latest versions; still running LSP v1.2.25 and the LV2-ui-resize works flawlessly here...
given your reports above I'm sure not going to upgrade so soon, sorry.
ps. tried LSP v1.2.26 and it seems OK too; however the bad lv2_ui_resize repetitive behavior starts on LSP v1.2.27+
guess this said optimization targeted some host only and broke on others ;)
re. re. There are more irregularities with LSP...
Thank you for providing the latest working version with Qtractor and identifying the problem.
Regards :)
re. There are more irregularities with LSP...
mitigated in qtractor >= v1.6.0.5git.7cfdf6
for the time being...
now, minor rendering problems might appear on some other LV2 UIs, which might or not show their whole legitimate content when resizing from their window's border/corner edges...
you tell me.
cheers
Test v1.6.0.5git.7cfdf6
I've given it a quick test.
LSP works fine now. The others also work if you resize them from the corners.
If you use the maximize/minimize button in the window (xfce), the brummer10 plugins (gx-guitarrix...) might glitch, but they recover when you resize from the corners.
I find that resizing from the corners if something looks wrong is an intuitive and natural action, at least for me.
On the other hand, the brummer10 UI, although it can be enlarged, generally doesn't need to be. I don't think anyone would enlarge it since it already has large controls.
So, as far as I'm concerned, it works as expected.
