The recorded material, either audio or MIDI, is always displayed inside the loop range, folding over on each loop turn, while recording is engaged.

However, that might be just some visual helper or illusion. Once the take is done, that is, recording ends, the recorded clip unfolds to its regular time-line extension, as if it weren't recorded inside the loop.

That all means that loop-recording in qtractor does not equate to overdubbing. It doesn't split into take clips either (separate clips that would map to each loop turn and precisely overlap each other). Yet ;)
