I'm from Portugal, the most western country in Europe and having the same time as in the UK. I guess there's a 5 hour lag to WV (West Virginia?).

Yes, West Virginia is correct.

Just set the snap setting to "None" on that dropdown box at the main toolbar, right after the tempo (bpm) box; also on the session properties dialog (File/Properties...); the snap settings usually defaults to "Beat/4" meaning a quarter note.
