:)
This is little something i picked up when using/learning Reaper. I would create a simple synth melody. Then render it to audio. On Reaper I think there is right-click option to reverse audio clip (been a minute),
And i would sort of cut and paste horizontally and mash both reversed and normal version of that synth melody (and pitch shift certain small cut chunks etc) get a new synth melody that sounds a bit more unique and "sampled vibe" at least according to my taste and experince.
(I guess on Qtractor similar playing arounding with multiple cut chunks of an audio clip can be done using the rectangle select tool (or clip split feature i guess as well) (using I think some external tool to get a reversed version of the audio clip, I don't see any such built in way to reverse audio clip))
