I find it incredible that they're not affected by the audio engine's latency. At least in PipeWire. I change the buffer frames on the fly... and the Send/Return latency doesn't change.
This developer is truly brilliant; he's doing an amazing job.

I tend to prefer the Calf suite.
However, I'm slowly starting to replace some Calf plugins with other LSP ones.
For example, I no longer use the Calf Deesser; instead, I use the LSP multiband compressor. Despite not being a dedicated deesser, it can be precisely configured to be the perfect deesser.
However, for mastering, I still prefer the Calf multiband compressor. Precisely because it's not as precise (sharp), it works better for me. Surely, with LSP, I could achieve a general, less precise impact on the frequency bands. But at the cost of spending a considerable amount of time on configurations.
Fortunately, we still have both suites. Although many are predicting that Calf's days are numbered (GTK2, lack of compatibility with AppImage, etc.).
