I wrote a little beginners tutorial for Qtractor :)

Apologies if it is inappropriate to share this here. Let me know and I'll delete this post.
I wrote a little Qtractor for beginners tutorial and posted it on linuxmusicians.com HOW TOs, Tips & Tricks forum, thought I'd share it here. (https://linuxmusicians.com/viewtopic.php?t=28331)

My aim for writing this tutorial was mostly to introduce beginners to the features of Qtractor through the process of creating a track from start to finish, to provide them context on how to potentially apply the features of Qtractor to an electronic track creation workflow .

I'm by no means experienced writer, this is the first tutorial I ever wrote. And I did my best with the markdown style :)

Again, apologies if it's inappropriate to post it here, and let me know if i should delete this post.

hi, good job!

have you considered to contribute to the user's manual wiki? if yes, just provide your sourceforge.net user handle (you may register one if you haven't done it yet) and I'll be pleased to add you to the writers roster.

cheers && thanks

ps. there's a notorious glitch on the tool-tip (balloon) at the screenshot in "Listening in Loop Mode (Loop Playback)": it shows extreme time values, possibly due to negative values where unsigned integers are expected. (see below)

is this happening all the time or just an one-time glitch? EDIT: never mind, it is fixed now in qtractor >= 1.5.4.10git.6d8c7b, however you should also fix the screenshot on your side, right? :)

On the version I'm on, it happens when i use the click and drag at the top ruler timeline bar to select a range, and go from right to left and cross over my mouse pointer to the left tracks pane section.

I have fixed the particular screenshot in the linuxmusicians.com tutorial post. sorry about the oversight.
(also, thank you for the feedback, sir!)

Edit: I switched Qtractor to your Tumbleweed repo and now that glitch is solved! Thanks!

I'm incredibly honored by the invitation, sir!
Honestly, I'm just a noob. But if there's any value I can provide on my end to the amazing Qtractor and related RNCBC open source tools community and the Linux musicians community in general, I will certainly try.

I did register for sourceforge.net with the following username: rounakagag .

If this is specificially in regards to the particular tutorial I wrote , fixing/improving/expanding it and potentially adding it under How To section of the Wiki, for example, then I am certainly more than willing try my hand at that. (perhaps with a title such as How To Create Your First Electronic Track Using Qtractor For Beginners)

But aside from that, I'm not sure what more I personally could add/contribute to the Wiki that's not already there, especially since I myself am still reading and learning from the Wiki at the moment.

And my objective for writing the tutorial was very specifically to demonstrate for newcomers how to potentially apply the available features of Qtractor to an actual electronic music production workflow.

Sorry about the lengthy response! And thank you again, for the invitation. I'm just uncertain if I actually qualify to contribute. (but am willing to try)
