Oooh... so some process of elimination showed me I was unable to duplicate the experience on a new track.... Good.

I made a backup Qtractor.conf and removed the [MidiEditor] section from the original and now the problem is gone. Therefore, I'd guess something in there was....... funky? I don't know. I'll just post the deleted section here.
