I think your confusion is the same one that led me to edit a relative path in the session window in my first test, and obviously it didn't work.
We're used to trying to fix things manually to solve the problem with absolute paths.
We need to change that approach, because with this version of Qtractor, the problem disappeared. Now everything is relative and it works.
For someone who never encountered the problem (perhaps because they used Qtractor sporadically, or because they always created the same paths if they reinstalled their computer), they won't notice the change.
For those of us who were aware of the problem, Qtractor now simply fixed the problem; it's no longer there. There's no need to fix or configure anything manually.
Displaying the absolute path in the session properties window is not only more understandable for the user, but it's also the only way for it to work properly.
Why?
Because, as we mentioned earlier, the .qtr session file is now the sovereign file (finally :) ).
Until you save the session file in a specific location, you can't know what the relative path will be, since the session file is the sovereign and referent file.
