But that would involve changes to the session structure and the mixer's GUI.

What I'm suggesting doesn't preclude the other option; it's just an additional feature for the auxiliary sends.

Personally, I've gone back to using the bus outputs and connecting them directly to inserts on the mix buses, leaving the auxiliary sends for parallel sends to effects buses.

It works well in PipeWire... for now, anyway XD.
