Help needed to drive Konfyt via Qtractor

Seems like I've been working on this workflow for ages now but I keep hitting a wall. Before I attempt to describe, I should explain that Konfyt is a soundfont host that can be triggered via MIDI. I've compiled from the testing branch since it includes needed features not present in master

https://github.com/noedigcode/konfyt/tree/testing

What I can do:

* Trigger soundfonts loaded in Konfyt via a specific MIDI channel. This happens over a dedicated MIDI bus created in Qtractor which is monitored in Konfyt.
* Output the audio of those soundfonts to system/playback{1,2} or Qtractor-created input buses (which seem to need to be monitored in order to be heard)

While the above work-flow works, it's very limited since I can't add plugins to the resulting audio. Therefore, I've been combing through the Qtractor documentation/wiki trying to make use of bounce tracks, dedicated outputs on the MIDI tracks, and am now even wondering about the role Aux Sends might play. Needless to say, my head is spinning and I know enough to know that I really know nothing at this point.

Is there any chance of teaming up with someone who'd be interested in figuring out how to integrate these tools? If so, I'm flexible on the method of collaboration. It could happen here, via IRC, screencasts, whatever. If you have some free time and the interest, please reach out directly.

Thanks in advance

of course, if Konfyt is a standalone application, that's driven by Qtractor through MIDI one of the fundamental questions is whether its audio pcm output is also fed through JACK.

If yes then you may connect it through some JACK-enabled standalone plugin host(s) like Carla, jalv, jack-rack, calfjackhost, etc. being Carla one of the most full-featured solution these days :)

hth.
cheers
