Convert midi to audio

This forum is long. I can't check every thread.
So...
I have managed to load a midi file to a track and assign a synth to produce the sound to standard output.
Is it possible to record the audio to a new track, and process it further as audio?

hi,
you have two (2) options, depending how's the target MIDI instrument is placed:
a. if it's a plugin then go: Track > Export Tracks > Audio... (there's an Add Track option in there;))
b. if not a plugin, then your only option left is bouncing/recording into a brand new audio track.

Cannotexport track
Hi,
I am using a home made synth (synth plugin made by Cabbage) with which I can reproduce a midi file. I can select presets an save them as xml from qtractor.
I cannot export track. I can hear sound when export ends but the wav file is empty.

hi, please give some more details...
it's the only plugin you're having the issue? you seem to have succeeded before.
