Recommended way of slowly tuning down after each hit

Forums

I set BPM to the smalles value and Rate to 0 to simulate a static value.
It looks as if it's restarted with each note on, so I get always the high value.

Then I use the LFO envelope's Pitch to move the tuning up and slowly back to the original value.

Is this the recommended way?

What is the Sweep parameter for?

maybe that's one way (can't really tell as a recommendation:))

and yes the LFO cycle is restarted on every note onset (unless you turn LFO Sync on).

LFO Sweep applies some modulation to the cycle rate (kinda FM) so it won't help in this use case, I think.

hth.
