Rethinking how I route the things in Qtractor

I've been studying G3N-es' excellent [universal template](https://www.rncbc.org/drupal/comment/9876#comment-9876)

Based on the following screenshot showing the mixer in full-screen mode (shout out to my right-side monitor), I have a few questions I hope to get some feedback and/or opinions on. I've removed the guitar track present in the original template in order to keep things as simple as possible.

1. It seems to me the Inputs are of no value which is why I typically right-click and deselect them. Does anyone ever really use these for anything other than troubleshooting? Just curious if I'm missing something obvious.

2. In the outputs section, it seems to me the Master MIDI Output is also pointless. Do people use this or place any value here that I'm overlooking?

3. My final observation/question relates to a quite "hot" audio signal I can easily reproduce under the following scenario while using this setup.

- Assign the ZynAddSubFX lv2 plugin to Track 2 (Midi)
- Confirm this track's audio signal is routing to the "Synth" bus
- Trigger some notes from my MIDI controller.

Despite the fact ZynAddSubFX's Master volume defaults to -6.67 dB, the audio signal would show "in the red" on the Synth output meter. Of course, I can back off the track volume accordingly but this is the first time I've seen this behavior from a plugin I've been using for years. I suspect I may be missing something obvious here and am probably in need of some education on the subject. Curious to hear any responses.

4. Unlike my old setup (not even worth discussing at this point), I notice none of the "monitor" toggles are activated. Obviously, everything is working but it leaves me wondering how those toggles might come into play here?
