When we minimize a track, several elements disappear (track number and volumeters), however, the track name remains behind the track buttons... and it doesn't look very nice XD.

If the pseudo-plugins (they all perform a send function) were the same color as the audio, and the MIDI pseudo-plugins the same color as the MIDI, the "sends" could be much more easily distinguished from the actual plugins, which would help to have a clearer overall view.
re. 2 small ideas for the GUI...
if understood it right, the first may well be in qtractor >= v1.6.0.9git.8db37e
the second is not so clear atm. color of what exactly?

re. 2 small ideas...
The first one works perfectly.
I'll try to explain the second one better.
Just as tracks and buses are distinguished by a color band if they are MIDI or audio, the pseudo-plugins should also use this color setting in the options. This way, not only could you easily distinguish whether the insert is MIDI or audio, but you could also differentiate the pseudo-plugins (sends) from the rest of the plugins (signal processing or synth).
The only drawback I see is ensuring the text remains legible.
re. 2nd small idea...
granted in qtractor >= v1.6.0.11git.e8b863
cheers
:O ...
First off, I have to say it does its job, and it really helps visualize complex send structures in the mixer.
I've done several tests, and they all keep the text legible.
The overlay solution, instead of applying a pure color, makes everything look integrated and visually balanced.
This, combined with the improvements already made to highlighting and searching for buses when selecting tracks and sends, makes this probably the most usable mixer among all DAWs.
If you have two monitors, even better, but with just one, the mixer is completely intuitive and manageable (I don't currently have two monitors).
Thanks a lot, Rui.
