When I load big projects then it can happen that XRUN ist displayed although it vanishes after first playback.
I propose a little bit of eye candy: Inhibit the XRUN display until the project is loaded and initialized. If that cannot be determined then inhibiting the XRUN display for a couple of seconds would be fine, too. Before activating the XRUN display the counter should be reset, I think.
re. XRUN after loading a project...
in fact, it cannot be determined (how many seconds?) as the XRUN counter is actually reset when the session load fully succeeds and the main view is refreshed.
that XRUN is possibly caused by some or several plugins loading up still in the aftermath.
byee
probably not caused by plugins
In affected sessions Qtractor restores about 10 Insert Send/Return connections to mixer strips in non-mixer-xt.
This could be the cause for the XRUNs as well and cannot determined/waited for by Qtractor, I am afraid.
So a one second grace time could help. Of course I cannot guarantee that I am right and if it's complicated to implement it then don't worry.
re. Insert Send/Returns are still plugins...
although called pseudo (aka. internal) but nevertheless plugins in their treatment in qtractor's processing flow.
jfyi. :)
