Hi,
I am working to edit a single audio file. I remove the material I do not want by highlighting the segment as a rectangle and pressing the delete key. I then move the remaining part of the audio file to the left to place it next to the part I am happy with in the audio file.
I do more editing as described above. I listen to my work from the start. I find there are spaces between the segments of the audio clip. I think what is happening is that I am moving the remaining segments, but not connecting them to be a single segment.
How does one connect audio segments within an edited audio file in a track, please?
Thanks,

re: audio clips
You can drag left and right and use fade in and fade out as well.
In many cases it's not needed to connect them. But if you want, you can mark the clips and create a new audio file and clip with clip->merge
Thank you for the reply. OK,…
Thank you for the reply.
OK, it is what it is. I will need to refine my workflow.
First, I need to do more learning on how to edit audio clips. I will search for videos to demonstrate best practices for accomplishing the work, with the hope of increasing my productivity level.
