Slave or Full?

We are syncing 2 computers by JackTransport and we can choose in QTractor for None, Slave, Master or Full.

We noticed that, even with the setting of None, the playback head still reacts to the other computer, the Master. Is this correct behavior?
And
What is the difference between Slave and Full?

thanks, greetings

re. JACK Transport modes (cf. View/Options.../General/Transport)

  • Slave - responds to JACK transport state and position as input; follows external JACK transport state (play/stop) and position (play-head); same for tempo (BPM) if something else is acting as a JACK transport master time-base.
  • Master - acts on JACK transport state and position as output; emits internal transport state (play/stop) and position (play-head) to all JACK transport aware external clients.
  • Full - acts as Master and reacts as Slave, simultaneously.
  • None - none of the above, obviously; don't act nor react to JACK transport output or input, respectively.

wrt. later issue, when setting to "None", it should not respond to JACK transport alone, maybe it's something else, like MIDI MMC? or SPP?

hth.
cheers
