I'm currently using qsynth sources to understand the way fluidsynth works. Your app is fantastic and makes understanding of fluidsynth much easier than it's own documentation does.

Hello. I'm new to this forum.
I know I can use Qsynth as the output of MIDI controllers and other apps, but how do you play MIDI files directly?
I just discovered you can drag and drop, but is this the only way? And how do you stop the playback? I don't see any sort of transport controls in the interface.

The reverb and chorus don't seem to work on the first engine instance. If you add an engine they work there.

Hi! I am trying to use Qsynth with the Calf Plugin. I want to use my Modulation Wheel to control Calf without having the Mod Wheel affect Qsynth. How can i disable the Mod Wheel in Qsynth, or what command do I use in terminal to start Qsynth with the Mod Wheel completely disabled? (In fact, how would i disable the sustain pedal if I wished?)

How can I pass "-o synth.midi-bank-select='xg'" to the underlying FluidSynth engine using QSynth please?

I receive the following error when running make.
Any help is appreciated.

fluidsynth works fine with:
fluidsynth -a pulseaudio -o audio.alsa.device=hw:1 -m alsa_seq -l -i .fonts/FluidR3_GM.sf2 Music/teddybear.mid
qsynth fails with:
Qsynth1: Failed to create the audio driver (pulseaudio).
I've tried to use setup to set everything in Qsynth the same as the fluidsynth settings but something isn't right. Any suggestion?
runnning fedora 17. I'm aiming for the simplest setup possible: one user, one input, one output.
