A big thankyou.

There's too many things still undone and new ones are arriving all the time. As you might understand, I have only one head, two hands and a couple of hours per day to work in this stuff :) But don't get me wrong; it is a pleasure and greater it is when people like you push the moral up ;)

These are the things still in the (big) TODO list, and not in any particular order:

  • DSSI and native VST plug-in support
  • MIDI SysEx librarian
  • MIDI event list and filter
  • Automation / Dynamic envelope curves
  • Auto cross-fading of overlapped clips
  • Punch in/out and loop recording (eg. takes)
  • File revision resource management
  • MIDI Editor draw mode
  • Snap/Zoom menu accessibility
  • Effect aux. send/return (pseudo-plug-in)
  • Clip split command
  • MIDI groove/swing quantize
  • Pitch-shifting of individual clips
  • Buffer/CPU% and underruns monitoring
  • File error message handling
  • MIDI controller feedback
  • Mixer presets
  • Mixer fader groups
  • Clip locking, muting
  • MIDI sync (MTC/SMPTE, MIDI Clock)
  • OSC or D-BUS interface
  • JACK-MIDI support
  • Integrated scripting (angelscript?)
  • "New..." project session dialog
  • Project session templates
  • "Paste Repeat..." command and linked clips

You might find some of your own suggestions in the list above. If any are missing, please tell me as soon as you catch it ;)

Meanwhile, on my current workbench there's DSSI and native VST plug-in support. That's right, with DSSI-VST you will reach windows VSTs through wine, and with native VSTs you should have an open road to native linux VSTs -- yes, there are some few breeding out there;)

It's coming, but I can't really tell when it will be ready ;) But one thing I can assure you, that's what will make it into the next dot release.

Happy || what?
